Hi, I’m Blake Lagasse! Born and raised in the frosty but friendly town of Caribou, Maine, I spent my early days immersed in photography, writing amateur poetry (some better left forgotten), movie marathons, and taking long, pointless walks around the mall with friends—because that’s just what you do in Caribou.
With art school calling my name, I moved to New Hampshire to unleash my creativity and start a new chapter. Along the way, I took on some corporate jobs that were—let’s be honest—absolute crap. I managed a gas station, became a botanical expert with tree and shrub merchandising, and learned way too much about chlorine in the pool retail business (did you know pool water chemistry could be this complicated? Because I didn’t).
Life took a delicious turn when I met Wendy, my muse and the love of my life. She didn’t just steal my heart—she’s also been brave enough to try anything I cook (yes, anything, even my experimental dishes). While I’m the one in the kitchen, Wendy inspires my culinary creativity, and together, we’ve made a great group of friends here in Manchester. Our summer roofdeck parties in downtown Manchester, full of good food, laughs, and epic views, have become legendary among our squad.
Now based in Manchester, New Hampshire, I’m a guy of many hobbies: snapping photos, thrifting with Wendy, exploring strange locales and businesses, cooking and consulting my tomes until the wee hours. Wendy and I are gearing up for our next great road trip—marriage! As we plan for the future, we know that good food, great company, and laughter will always be part of the journey (and hopefully more roofdeck parties, too).
Greetings, I’m Wendy! I grew up in sunny south Florida, where I could be found roaming my parents' 5-acre property or swimming in our pond. I've always been behind a camera, marker, needle + thread, or paint 6 creating something interesting or odd, or both. I've survived countless hurricanes, driven away from a tornado, and even honked at a sunbathing alligator in the road.
Looking for a fresh start, I moved to New Hampshire in 2006. I started working "rapid prototyping," which would become known as 3D printing a few years later. I traveled as far and as often as I could; one of my favorite trips was a solo vacation to Maui + Oahu in 2014. Then in 2017 I drove from New Hampshire to Wyoming and back alone.
A worldwide pandemic was not the romantic backdrop I had pictured for finding love. Blake and I spent hours talking through masks at empty bars. We had so much in common, and his odd sense of humor matched my weirdo heart. The trips we take together are definitely memorable, whether it’s camping in rural Maine or driving to the next cryptid sighting location in our 2009 Honda Fit Sport.
I've never been more excited about the future! Blake is the best thing that has ever happened to me, I can't believe I get to spend my life with him!
